The site

kanonlabs.co describes Kanon Labs’ evaluation sets and the expert network. The tasks on the homepage are examples. A paid pack is not on the open site. Sending a form means you have read the privacy policy.

The 10-task sample

The sample is free. It is emailed, with the reference answers, so a buyer can see the work. The recipient may use it inside their organisation to judge whether to go further. They may not publish it, give it to another organisation, or put the tasks or the reference answers into a dataset they distribute.

The model scorecard

The scorecard is free. Kanon Labs runs the buyer’s safety or compliance agent on agreed tasks and sends where it misses, with the clause. The buyer must have the right to share the model outputs they send us. The scorecard is a reading of those tasks. It is not a certification of the product, and it is not a ranking against other companies’ models.

Benchmark licence

A paid benchmark is licensed to one legal entity, named on the invoice. The fee is the price agreed on that invoice. Payment is by invoice. The licence starts when Kanon Labs confirms payment and the pack has been released.

• The buyer does not own the tasks, the reference answers, or the photographs. They may use them to evaluate and to train their own models.
• They may not republish the pack, resell it, or share it with a legal entity that is not named on the licence. A contractor working for the named entity may see it only to do that work, and must be bound to these limits.
• Held-out tasks are not part of the download. Held-out photographs are not part of the download.
• Photographs that are part of a delivered task are part of the same licence. They are not stock images and they are not figures from a standard.
• Standards are cited by clause. The text of the standard is not copied into the pack, and the buyer does not receive a copy of the standard.
• A downloaded pack is for the licence term on the account. When the term ends, the buyer stops using the pack unless a further invoice extends it.

Experts

An application is a request to be considered for paid evaluation work. It is not a job offer and it is not a guarantee of hours. The written paper is untimed and marked against a gold answer. Under 70% stops the application. A pass still has to clear the credential check, the grading gate, the writing gate, and 85% agreement on the gold set. Credentials are checked with the issuing body.

What the tasks are

The tasks are an evaluation instrument. They are not engineering advice for a live weld, a live audit, or a plant. A model’s score on a pack does not certify the model, the welds, or the management system the tasks describe.

Liability

Kanon Labs’ liability for a paid licence is limited to the fee paid for that licence, except where the law does not allow a limit. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for a guarantee that the Australian Consumer Law does not allow to be excluded.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
